A few links stemming from the NY times well blog that talks about the effectiveness of some 3rd world clinics.

Reports abound that the U.S. throws around the most money in the world for healthcare and gets less done.  Is it tort, is it available technology, is it patient or physician culture, etc?  Regardless of the causes the system is broken (at least from a cost analysis perspective).

So how do we fix it?  Like with schools throwing money and technology at the problem doesn’t seem to work.  Some say that we look at the clinic models in 3rd world countries to see how we can improve our systems.
